Australian Government releases Draft Superannuation Data and Payment Standard using ebMS3 and AS4

The Australian Superannuation industry handles citizen's retirement benefits, with ~1.3T$AU under management and contribution being mandatory. Following a review of the industry, the government has decided on a number of reforms, including the moving to electronic data and payment exchange (as opposed to the current cheque and paper). It is thus mandating data, messaging and payment standards which will be introduced in a three year staged rollout.

AS4 Profile of ebMS 3.0 V1.0 is Candidate OASIS Standard

Members of the OASIS ebXML Messaging Services TC [1] have recently approved a Special Majority Ballot [2] to advance "AS4 Profile of ebMS 3.0 Version 1.0" as a Candidate OASIS Standard (COS). The COS now enters a 60-day public review period in preparation for a member ballot to consider its approval as an OASIS Standard.

AS4 Transport Protocol Binding for OASIS Energy Interoperation 1.0 Version 1.0

The OASIS Energy Interoperation (EI) Version 1.0 technical specification defines EI Services and Operations, XML, Service and Operation payloads and Service operation interaction patterns. Management of Metadata and XML Schemas for e-Justice interoperability

A paper has been presented at the I-ESA conference on the use of ebXML Core Components and UN/CEFACT Naming and Design Rules for e-Justice.
