This is the official community gathering place and information resource for ebXML, the modular suite of standards advanced by OASIS and UNCEFACT and approved as ISO 15000. ebXML enables enterprises of any size and in any geographical location to conduct business over the Internet. This is a community-driven site, and the public is encouraged to contribute content.

European Commission Invests in AS4 to Accelerate the Digital Single Market

The European Commission’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Digital programme has launched calls for proposals that aim to further increase the number of implementations of eDelivery based on the AS4 open technical specification, as profiled in the e-SENS Large Scale Pilot. The call is open to users of e-SENS AS4 (public administrations or businesses) but also to providers of AS4 software and services.

AS4 mandated in EU for exchange of Passenger Name Record data

In Europe Passenger Name Record (PNR) data exchange is regulated to support prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution of terrorist offences and serious crime.  Annex 2 of the recent  COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING DECISION (EU) 2017/759 of 28 April 2017, which specifies the common protocols and data formats to be used by air carriers when transferring PNR data to Passenger Information Units,  mandates the OASIS AS4 standard as one of three allowed protocols for transmission protocols for the transfer of data.

ENTSOG publishes guidance document for use of ebCore Agreement Update

ENTSOG published a document that provides guidance on its use of AS4 and ebCore Agreement Update.

ENTSOG Updates AS4 Documentation

ENTSOG has published an update version 3 of its AS4 profile on its Web site.  This version contains some updates made in response to implementation experience. The main new feature is the requirement to support the recent OASIS ebCore Agreement Update (AU) specification for certificate updates.

There is also an update for the "How to Set Up an AS4 System" document.  It has new content that explains in more detail how users can configure processing modes for the ENTSOG AS4 profile and the ENTSOG AS4 mapping table.
