This tutorial was delivered at the OASIS Symposium in San Francisco, May 2006. It provides an overview of the e-Business XML (ebXML) framework, as it is used today for integration in commerce, government and healthcare initiatives internationally.

The tutorial consists of three parts:

1. an introductory overview of the ebXML initiative;
2. a technical discussion of the infrastructure specifications of ebXML for business process, collaboration protocol agreements, messaging and registry
3. and the adoption of ebXML by end users, vertical industry associations and government organizations.
