jCAM: B2B Content Validation and Assembly toolset for ebXML

UBL e-invoicing infrastructure uses ebXML Messaging

A case study has been published describing the e-invoicing infrastructure used for public e-procurement in Denmark. The current system uses ebXML Messaging to transport OIOXML UBL documents.

Transport of the eInvoices is based on an ebMS (ebXML Message Service) enveloping mechanism built on SOAP (ISO 15000-2). This means that the addressing information, mainly the EAN number, is part of the ebMS header.

ISO TC 68 (financial services) evaluates ebXML Business Process for choreographed financial transactions

ISO TC 68 is the technical committee of the International Standards Organisations dedicated to financial services. One of the major current activities is the ISO 20022 standard, also known as UNIFI. Transactions in the financial services industry are more complex than in other industries, as even simple transactions involve a large number of actors (debtor, creditor, their banks, clearing houses) and complex message flows.

The ebXML Business Process specification is designed to support complex choreographies and collaborations involving multiple business partners.
